Short report of the 3rd Dutch Antisense Therapeutics Symposium in Rotterdam

The third DATS was held on 23 and 24 May 2024 at the Arminius church in Rotterdam.

The programme consisted of keynote lectures, invited lectures and short talks as well as 28! poster presentations and a dedicated session organized by the DCRT. Keynote speakers were Shalini Andersson from AstraZeneca Sweden and Rob Collin from DCRT/Radboudumc.

For the DCRT session we had invited Floor Nieuwenhuijse and Bart van de Warrenburg (Radboudumc) and Matthis Synofzik (Tübingen University) to give a presentation. Annemieke and Willeke presented a DCRT update. Furthermore, there were DCRT short talks by PhD students Emilio, Laurie, Bianca and Edwin as well as a large number of DCRT posters.

The networking event took place at the city brewery where we had bites and beers and a pub quiz presented by Alex Garanto. At the end of the symposium, prizes were awarded for best short talk (Remko Goossens, runner-up Edwin van Oosten) and for best poster (Jack Morgan).

The next DATS will be held in Groningen on 12 and 13 June 2025!
