Dion den Hertog is a master student Biomedical Science at Leiden University, now doing an internship at the DCRT under the supervision of Bianca Zardetto. He aims to develop a disease relevant platform to reliably test personalized and generalized ASOs. This platform will be created using transdifferentiation of patient derived fibroblasts to oligodendrocytes.

Dion obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research in Rotterdam. He did his bachelor internship at the lab of Prof. Ype Elgersma where he researched the effect of UBE3a on behaviour in Angelman and Duplication 15q mice models.
